Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati is a partnership of 27 local nonprofit organizations building social and economic equity and a healthy environment in Greater Cincinnati. Community Shares raises awareness and support for its member organizations through workplace giving campaigns, professional enrichment, community education, and a variety of innovative initiatives. Grailville is a member.
Earth-Shares CSA is a Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) organization in Loveland, Ohio (a suburb of Cincinnati), on land leased from Grailville. CSA is a direct partnership between farmers who grow the food and the people who eat it.
Edible OHIO VALLEY Magazine celebrates the tri-state region’s established food traditions, new food trends, and the growers and producers who shape the local food landscape. The magazine is a quarterly publication designed to tie together the existing local-food movement as well as foster and promote new avenues of growth in our community. Grailville and Edible OHIO VALLEY partner in hosting special events.
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio , the fifth largest in the USA, serves nearly 53,000 girls in a 32 county area throughout western Ohio and southeast Indiana. More than 14,000 trained volunteers work to provide services and deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Grailville and the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio partner in programming.
Green Umbrella is a non-profit organization working to improve the economic vitality and quality of life in the region around Cincinnati by maximizing the collective impact of individuals and organizations dedicated to environmental sustainability. Grailville is a member.
Little Miami, Inc. (LMI) was founded in 1967 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration and protection of the Little Miami Wild & Scenic River. Little Miami Inc holds the conservation easement on 20 of Grailville’s streambank acres.
The Loveland Chamber of Commerce is devoted to the civic and economic development of the Loveland area. The Chamber achieves this by supporting the business community through member investor benefits, Chamber programs and events, and service to the community. Grailville is a member.
The Loveland Farmers Market enriches and strengthens our community by providing a venue where locally grown and produced items are regularly available. Patrons can meet the farmers that grow the food placed on their tables and learn sustainable and alternative ways of living and consuming locally. Grailville sells produce at the market and provides periodic educational opportunities for market attendees.
Nzuzu is about the space we share as we come together, it's about creating and sustaining community, and above all it's about transformation. We do this through life coaching, retreats, journeys of learning and providing access to products that support self awareness and self acceptance. So, as we stand holding our place in the circle we also hold an invitation for you to join us. Join the circle of spirits who have gone before you, who have been led by love, courage and hope. The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) is a membership-based, grassroots organization, dedicated to promoting and supporting sustainable, ecological and healthful food systems.OEFFA's membership includes farmers, consumers, gardeners, chefs, teachers, researchers, retailers and students. Together, we are working to recreate a regionally-scaled farming, processing, and distribution system that moves food from farm to local fork. Grailville is a member.
Vital Sensations is run by Tracy Joy Duckworth, who is a cooking instructor, licensed massage therapist, certified Hatha & Tantra yoga teacher, consultant and right-brained girl who attempts to live creatively in the left-brained world of Cincinnati, Ohio. Sixteen years ago she became bored with boardrooms and started her own company, Vital Sensations. She is dedicated to improving the quality of people’s lives through food, yoga and massage. Grailville and Vital Sensations partner in creating programs and retreats.
Granny's Garden School develops, promotes and supports hands-on learning experiences through school-based, garden and nature focused programs to help children experience nature, the satisfaction of growing their own food and to appreciate the simple pleasure of picking a flower. Founded by a grandmother with the simple desire to give kids the chance to pick flowers, Granny's Garden School now runs one of the largest and most comprehensive school garden programs in the country that has set the standard for merging school gardens with the classroom.
Women Farm is designed to serve a woman who must stay where she resides, with little disruption to her current schedule and location. Some experienced women farmers have a network of peers from whom they seek advice and assistance. Women Farm is designed to serve a woman who wants advice and assistance from a larger or different network of experienced women farmers. Services of Women Farm delivered in groups are available in Central Ohio, North Central Ohio, and Southwest Central Ohio beginning in 2011 and will expand no later than 2013 to both Southern Ohio and East Central Ohio. Services could expand by invitation from prospective partners in other Ohio regions. Women Farm offers many hands-on opportunities to learn to farm.
MUSE Cincinnati's Women Choir is a women's choir dedicated to musical excellence and social change. In keeping with their belief that diversity is strength, they are feminist women of varied ages, races, and ethnicities with a range of musical abilities, political interests, and life experiences. They commission and seek out music composed by women, pieces written to enhance the sound of women's voices, and songs that honor the enduring spirit of all peoples. In performing, they strive for a concert experience that entertains, inspires, motivates, heals, and creates a feeling of community with our audience.
