Susan Blakley, Bookeeper, makes financial sense out of Grailville’s many activities as well as making sure everybody gets paid! She has a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Robert Morris University and more than 10 years of accounting experience. She enjoys family, music and the outdoors.
Joy France, Senior Program Associate, is a Grail Member, O’Bannon Creek Native, and a Grailville Staff Member since 2001. The programs at Grailville give the community opportunities for personal growth and transformation in this beautiful place and on this land that she loves. She lives next door to Grailville with her husband Steve and daughter Eva. As often as she can, she heads down the hill to be a potter at Whistle Stop Clayworks and she loves to talk about her chickens to anyone who finds them as amusing as she does.
Becky Hill, Special Projects Director, works with staff and the Grail National Council to plan for the future of Grailville. Her goal is to steer the sacred space that is Grailville in an ever more sustainable direction! Becky was Business Manager here from 1980-1985 and from 2005-2011. She is a long-time Grail member and has been a member of the extended Grailville neighborhood for more than 35 years. She holds a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting) from Indiana University. She loves patterned textiles, quilts, fabric landscapes, and flowers of all kinds, especially her collection of 85 varieties of daylillies. She and her husband, Pat, are part-owners of the dexter beef herd at Grailville. They are passionate about farming, building the Grailville community and advocacy for persons with disabilities.
Al Lade, Maintenance Manager, has been doing his best to keep Grailville’s beautiful older buildings happy since 2010. An electrician by trade, his time here has exposed him to ‘opportunities’ as diverse as leaking plumbing and furnaces that start for no reason. In his spare time, Al is a photographer who loves exploring nature.
Mary Lu Lageman, Farm Manager, works with diverse elements of the farm at Grailville and serves as a resource person for land-related programs. She is fascinated with bees, chickens, plants, and the microorganisms that make soil and compost alive. She has a Master’s Degree in Agriculture from the University of Kentucky and a work history that includes financial analysis with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, teaching agriculture in other countries, and community economic development. She has a passion for experiential and holistic learning, teaches Permaculture, and is active in the local food movement. A long-time Grail member she joined the staff and residential community in 1991.

A newcomer to Grailville, Terrie has worked in the nonprofit programming field for 20+ years with experiences as far ranging as coordinating a conference on international human rights in Beijing to driving a snow plow...she also once washed a cow but that was just for fun.
